The Year of the Dragon

Whether it's on the side of a building, a statue outside of a restaurant, or a picture on a pack of tissues, the image of the dragon is everywhere in China! You can't go a day without seeing it; after all, it is the year of the dragon.

For many, the dragon is just a mythical creature from a fairy tale...but everytime I see this creature, I am reminded of the book of Revelation.

"The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray." (12:9)

The image of the dragon reminds me that my battle is not against flesh and blood but against the powers of this dark world...(see Ephesians 6)

I am fighting a battle for the people of this city...but I can not fight this battle alone. I need you to join me...
